Localized cryotherapy is a technique that involves applying extremely cold temperatures to specific areas of the body where there is injury, pain, or inflammation. This targeted application creates a “thermal shock” where vasoconstriction is induced, slowing the blood flow and forcing the immune and hormonal systems to respond.
